HBO has officially announced on Thursday that Game of Thrones Season 4 will premiere on April 6th at 9pm. On Sunday, January 12, fans will have first extended look of the trailer prior to the premiere of HBO’s new drama True Detective.

Game of Thrones season 4 will finish up George R.R. Martin’s third book, A Song of Ice and Fire. Season 4 will be introducing new characters like Oberyn Martell the Red Viper, Ellaria Sand, Mace Tyrell, and many more.
