Andrew Lincoln and Special Effects makeup guru Greg Nicotero prank Norman Reedus with the help of Nick Santonastasso. Norma Reedus’ character Daryl on TWD is a total badass when he faces walkers, but in real life, Reedus isn’t quite prepared when he comes face to face with one.
Nick Santonastasso, 17, has a rare condition called Hanhart Syndrome and has only one arm and no legs. He is no stranger to pranking people. He has gained fame by his Vine “Zombie Prank” and has more than 551,000 followers.
Santonastasso is a huge fan of The Walking Dead and was flown to Tokyo, Japan where he was transformed into a walker by Greg Nicotero.
Reedus recognized Santonastasso after the prank was over. ‘I already know about you,’ Reedus said. ‘I’ve already blasted you out to the planet (on Twitter). Good job, you jerk!’
The Walking Dead returns with its mid-season premiere on Sunday, February 9th at 9 pm on AMC.
