From 1982-1987, Leonard Nimoy hosted a show called Standby: Lights! Camera! Action! an educational show that aired on Nickelodeon. The show taught kids how movies were made by going behind-the-scenes of a movie production. Topics included movie character, script writing, directing, costumes, props, special effects, and more.

One of the episodes from 1983, Nimoy took the viewers behind-the-scenes of Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.
