Panthertown Valley

A few weeks ago I went on my second backpacking/camping trip in the beautiful area known as Panthertown Valley, just outside Brevard , NC.

In WGG spirit, I brought along someone to help me seek out the geektastic along my journey…Frodo Baggins 😀

The following is a small glimpse of our adventure!

As you can see, I channel my inner Hobbit very easily (I even wear five fingers instead of hiking boots). Being a larger gal presents it’s challenges (especially with an extra 30lbs pack) but pretending I am on an important adventure always helps make it an enjoyable time for me. So with Frodo on my pack this go round, it wasn’t hard to picture myself in Middle Earth, finding my way to Rivendell (we didn’t hike far enough to picture Mordor).

Happy Trails,
~CC~
