BBC has released the eighth Doctor Who Extra, behind-the-scenes video and photos, for episode 8, “Mummy on the Orient Express.”
It’s full steam ahead with Peter Capaldi, Frank Skinner and Foxes as we unwrap Mummy on the Orient Express with exclusive interviews and some brilliant behind the scenes footage.
Behind the Scenes of the Shoot:
British singer-songwriter Foxes makes her acting debut in Mummy on the Orient Express.
Guest star Frank Skinner has his costume adjusted.
The extras are all dressed up as if passengers on the original Orient Express.

Building the Orient Express:
The carriage was once an empty shell.
The set was built in Roath Lock studios in Cardiff Bay.
The carpet and windows are added.
A curtain is hung on the studio wall so ‘space’ can be viewed from the carriage windows.
Furniture and furnishings were added to create the train’s luxurious interior.

A striking recreation of the original Orient Express.

Episode Summary:
The Doctor and Clara are on the most beautiful train in history, speeding among the stars of the future — but they are unaware that a deadly creature is stalking the passengers.
Once you see the horrifying Mummy you only have 66 seconds to live. No exceptions, no reprieve. As the Doctor races against the clock Clara sees him at his deadliest and most ruthless. Will he work out how to defeat the Mummy? Start the clock!
