Jared Leto is one step closer to embracing his role as the Joker. Suicide Squad‘s director David Ayer has released two images teasing Leto’s Joker transformation.

What do you guys think of Leto’s new makeover? I don’t miss Leto’s beard, but he seems really bummed about it.

Film’s plot:

Based on the DC comicbook, the story centers on the team of supervillains who are given a chance at redemption by the government. The catch: Their mission will probably kill them all.

Written and Directed by David Ayer. Produced by Charles Roven and Richard Suckle. Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, Colin Wilson and Geoff Johns are serving as executive producers.

Stars: Jared Leto as The Joker, Will Smith as Deadshot, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress. Jesse Eisenberg is still in talks to reprise his role as Lex Luthor.

‘Suicide Squad’ is set to be released on August 5th, 2016.
