My heart breaks as I write this. Music is an integral part of my life. Music is a powerful tool. It is a very effective way of expressing feelings. It makes memories. Music connects the body to the mind. I own more soundtracks than any other kind of music.

I’ve always had a huge appreciation for James Horner’s scores. Each score evoked so many different emotions and always tugged at the heart. From Braveheart, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, The Rocketeer, Titanic, Field of Dreams, Legends of the Fall, The Land Before TimeWillow, A Beautiful Mind, The Perfect Storm, Commando, Cocoon, Aliens and so many more classic scores.

Here are some film scores I love (I can’t post them all or else we will be here all night):

I hope that his legacy will inspire young composers for many years to come.

Thank you James Horner!
