Christopher Yost to Write ‘Masters of the Universe’ Movie

According to Variety, Sony Pictures and Escape Artists have hired screenwriter Christopher Yost (Thor: The Dark World, Max Steel and the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok) to rewrite the script for ‘Masters of the Universe,’ which was previously written by Terry Rossio and Jeff Wadlo.

Set on the planet of Eternia, the story follows a warrior named Prince Adam who has the power to transform into the heroic He-Man. His nemesis is a villain named Skeletor who seeks to conquer a fortress known as Castle Grayskull in order to learn the secrets held within.

His nemesis is a villain named Skeletor who seeks to conquer a fortress known as Castle Grayskull in order to learn the secrets held within. In 1987, a live-action film was made starring Dolph Lundgren as He-Man, Frank Langella as Skeletor and Courtney Cox.

‘Masters of the Universe’ was popular in my household growing up. I pretty much had the whole toy collection and watched the show religiously at 3pm. 🙂 I just want to see this movie made already!!
