Entertainment Weekly released the first look image of Michael Chiklis as GCPD Captain Nathaniel Barnes, a “law and order zealot who lands on the GCPD like a tornado, ripping out the dead wood of Gotham’s police force,” in the upcoming second season of ‘Gotham.’

Chiklis to play a series regular and will be introduced in the fourth episode of ‘Gotham‘ season 2, titled “Strike Force” (a nod to Mackey’s lawless cop team on The Shield). 

I can’t wait to see Chiklis on Gotham. I’ve been a fan of his since The Commish.

Official Synopsis:

“The stakes are higher than ever as GOTHAM explores the origin stories of some of the most ambitious and depraved Super Villains, including The Riddler, The Joker and Mr. Freeze, and Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) uncovers more secrets from his father’s past. 

Series stars: Ben McKenzie, David Mazouz, Robin Lord Taylor, Camren Bicondova, Cory Michael Smith, Erin Richards, Morena Baccarin, Donal Logue and Sean Pertwee.
