Production is already underway, and director Matt Reeves took to Twitter to release the first official behind-the-scenes set photo from his upcoming ‘War for the Planet of the Apes,’ the third installment of the rebooted series.

Reeves also confirmed that composer Michael Giacchino (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) is returning to score the third film.

Andy Serkis as Cesar, Gabriel Chavarria, Woody Harrelson as the Colonel, Steve Zahn as a new ape, and Amiah Miller.

Director by Matt Reeves (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) and screenwriter Mark Bomback will both be returning for the next installment of the franchise, with Chernin Entertainment and Dylan Clark producing.

‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ is set for release in July 2017.
