Here’s a video that would bring a smile to your face.
Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area released the official behind-the-scene video of Batkid saving San Francisco from The Riddler and The Penguin. The video also includes interviews with Batkid’s parents, Batman, and montage of media coverage.
Just in case you where living under a rock: On November 15, 2013, Five-year-old Miles Scott, aka Batkid, was able to live out his wish by becoming a caped crusader. With the help of more than 12,000 volunteers, San Francisco was transformed into Gotham city just for Miles. Batkid and Batman drove around San Francisco in the Batmobile, saved Lou Seal from The Penguin, stopped The Riddler from robbing a bank, rescued a damsel in distress, and received the key to the city from Mayor Ed Lee for saving Gotham City.
Here is some information on Batkid Fund:
What is the Batkid Fund?
Miles’ family aims to keep the spirit of Batkid alive by launching a charity fund in the tiny superhero’s name. The Fund will operate under the auspices of the San Francisco Forty Niners’ Foundation. Proceeds will benefit three charities chosen by the Scotts: a local medical center, the Ronald McDonald House, and Make-A-Wish. “It seems only fitting that following a day when the world demonstrated caring and compassion for Batkid, Batkid can now help others,” said Miles’ parents, Nick and Natalie Scott. “We were honored to receive many offers of gifts or assistance, but now that Miles’ leukemia is in remission, we want to use this moment to draw attention to other parents who are coping with serious illness.” More information can be found here.
Wanted to share this video of Stephen Amell, David Ramsey, and Emily Bett Rickards from Arrow thanking Batkid.

I watched this on the news and it got me right in the heart. The fact that a good portion of the city got behind this wish made me tear up a bit. Go Make-A-Wish Foundation and go San Francisco!
