Animated GIFs are everywhere these days. GIF creators are taking it to another level by turning GIFs into 3D by adding a couple of white lines and splitting the image into 3 panels.
The white lines serves as a reference point for the foreground. Once the action breaks past the white lines, our brain automatically thinks that the action is leaping out of the screen. GIF creators select clips where the focus is set in the background and then shifts the focus to the foreground to give a sense of depth.
