Newcomer Daisy Ridley is the least known out of the list of actors casted in ‘Star Wars: Episode VII.’ The British actress has appeared in several BBC series like ‘Mr. Selfridge,’ ‘Silent Witness,’ and ‘Toast of London.’ Ridley will also be starring in an upcoming horror film, ‘Scrawl.’
Andy Serkis is no stranger to the film industry. Serkis is famous for his motion-capture roles including Gollum from the ‘Lord of the Rings’ trilogy, as Kong in Peter Jackson’s ‘King Kong,’ ‘Captain Haddock in Steven Spielberg’s ‘The Adventures of Tintin,’ and as Caesar in the new ‘Planet of the Apes’ movies.
If you are a Potter fan, you know Domhnall Gleeson. He played Ron Weasley’s brother Bill Weasley in the final two ‘Harry Potter’ films. Gleeson has also appeared in ‘Anna Karenina,’ ‘Dredd,’ ‘About Time,’ and ‘Frank.’ Gleeson is also the son of actor Brendan Gleeson.
Oscar Isaac is known for his outstanding performance as Llewyn Davis in Joel and Ethan Coen’s ‘Inside Llewyn Davis.’ Isaac has also appeared in Ridley Scott’s ‘Robin Hood,’ Zach Snyder’s ‘Sucker Punch,’ ‘Drive,’ and in Steven Soderbergh’s ‘Che.’
British actor John Boyega is best known for his role as Moses in ‘Attack the Block.’ Boyega will next be seen as Chris Tanner in ’24: Live Another Day.’
Adam Driver, one of the long-rumored actors linked to ‘Star Wars: Episode VII,’ has been casted as the primary villain. He is best known for his role as Adam Sackler in HBO’s series ‘Girls.’ Driver has also appeared in Steven Spieldberg’s ‘Lincoln,’ Clint Eastwood’s ‘J. Edgar,’ ‘Frances Ha,’ and alongside Oscar Isaac in ‘Inside Llewyn Davis.’
Veteran actor Max von Sydow is one of the best actors in the film industry. The 85-year-old career has spanned over 60 years and has starred in films including ‘The Exorcist,’ ‘Minority Report, ‘Through a Glass Darkly,’ ‘Pelle the Conqueror,’ ‘Winter Light,’ ‘Flash Gordon,’ ‘Awakenings,’ and ‘The Passion of Anna.’
