Lionsgate has released a new banner for ‘The Expendables 3’ featuring the entire cast.
Synopsis:
In THE EXPENDABLES 3, Barney (Stallone), Christmas (Statham) and the rest of the team come face-to-face with Conrad Stonebanks (Gibson), who years ago co-founded The Expendables with Barney. Stonebanks subsequently became a ruthless arms trader and someone who Barney was forced to kill… or so he thought. Stonebanks, who eluded death once before, now is making it his mission to end The Expendables — but Barney has other plans. Barney decides that he has to fight old blood with new blood, and brings in a new era of Expendables team members, recruiting individuals who are younger, faster and more tech-savvy. The latest mission becomes a clash of classic old-school style versus high-tech expertise in the Expendables’ most personal battle yet.

I’m looking forward to this. I’m a child of the 80s and 90s action films. It’s fulfilling all the wishes of team ups with some of the best. I wish they would have choses a 90s villain to be the bad guy like Alan Rickman (Hans Gruber) or Charles Dance (Benedict from Last action Hero)
They need to dial back the jokes. The best part of the 90s action movies was the hero wasn’t trying to be funny they took their job seriously and because of ham lines and poor delivery were they sometimes funny. It’s becoming a parody and not in the good way.
In the first most of the jokes were between the guys attempting to show they had know each other for year. In the sequel they were making jokes about other films. Like every joke was like an eye wink to the viewer like “Hey that was for you fanboys”
I’m going to see it either way since although it’s a sequel it’s not based on a book, TV, or comic. So by that standard it’s original.

I like these movies since the don’t take themselves seriously. They are just making movies to make action movies. They don’t care about plot and how “realistic” they can be. I’m cool with that. What I can’t stand is the digital blood. It’s makes it look so fake. How hard is it to use squibs?
Also why couldn’t they get a 90s villain to play the bad guy? They could have gotten Alan Rickman, Lance Henriksen, Robert Patrick, Tommy Lee Jones, or Arnold Vosloo. Any one of a combination would have been great.
I’ll still end up seeing this in theaters since I love a leave your brain at the door popcorn flick.

Agree with you on everything. Sticking with the 80s villains, I would love to see Alan Rickman, Lance Henriksen., and Lance Henriksen, even Peter Weller. Not to sure about Tommy.
