They will mess it up, Hollywood style GUNS blazing, and unlimited ammo, and a romance story. UGH terrible, the original was perfect. Mad Max 2 was what a real wasteland would look like, cars are just frankensteins, motorcycles are able to traverse farther on a tank of “Juice” the survivors using only air pressure guns and crossbows as weapons. The only real guns left are antiquities, and having one means having a district advantage (double barrel sawed off shotgun), and even in a nonfunctioning state still cause would be attackers to reconsider (think of the movie The Road). Our hero’s Falcon is rusted and covered in dirt the tires don’t even have much tread left, and the man we know only as Max, 16 lines of dialog and no love or care. It is Tom Hanks character from Castaway, he speaks rarely and often it is only to complete his own objective (fuel to keep him moving,….. I always thought he was trying to get just a step ahead of his past,… like the ghosts of his wife and child would haunt him, but if he keeps moving,… they will stay in the past where they belong) Nope, looks like a love story with a Gattling gun on a Tricked out monster truck (which eats TONS of fuel) and there will be a BIG FIGHT scene at the end, instead of the real ending which is the way it would probably play out, quick and arbitrary death of the main bad guys, with good guys dying as well. In the NOT Hollywood world, no fight to the finish, just a quick death and the world keeps moving without you. They rewrote this World War Z style, and went over budget I am sure,…. sad really I would have loved to see the Mad Max get a reboot, if only to hear more than the original three stories.
