Universal Pictures launched a new viral site, Masrani Global, for the company run by Simon Masrani, played by Irrfan Khan. The new site contains tons of information and new images giving us a first look at B.D. Wong, Irrfan Khan, and more. 

Masrani was established February 16, 1973 by Sanjay Masrani with the birth of Mascom, an ambitious telecommunications network located in the heart of India. After ten years of perfecting their technology Mascom was on air by 1983, and from 1983 to 1991 had become a household name with forty-five channels covering the Indian subcontinent. 1992 saw the untimely passing of Sanjay Masrani whose success was passed down to his son Simon.

Simon went on to expand Mascom’s services, however it was the founding of the Masrani Oil sector in Abu Dhabi in 1996 that put the Masrani Global Corporation on the world business radar. Despite being one of the youngest oil companies in operation, this division of the Masrani Corporation generated the third largest income of revenue for any business between the years 1997 to 2004. Today Masrani Oil helps to fuel 21% of the transport sector worldwide.

In 1997 Simon Masrani began talks to acquire International Genetic Technologies after the passing of Dr. John Hammond in order to reshape and restore the company to a level of satisfaction once sought by the former founder. By 1998 InGen was under the Masrani umbrella and the years from 2002 to 2004 would help lead the Masrani company on their biggest adventure yet: the construction of Jurassic World on Isla Nublar.

Today, the Masrani Global Corporation has holdings in both the commercial and industrial sectors, ranging from oil, telecom, mining, construction, engineering, real estate, technology, and health care. Currently one of the world’s leading Fortune 500 companies, Masrani growth continues to expand, helping to fuel the world’s economy.

Plot:

This film picks up twenty-two years after Jurassic Park. When Derek [Connolly] and I sat down to find the movie, we looked at the past two decades and talked about what we’ve seen. Two things came to the surface.

One was that money has been the gasoline in the engine of our biggest mistakes. If there are billions to be made, no one can resist them, even if they know things could end horribly.

The other was that our relationship with technology has become so woven into our daily lives, we’ve become numb to the scientific miracles around us. We take so much for granted.

Those two ideas felt like they could work together. What if, despite previous disasters, they built a new biological preserve where you could see dinosaurs walk the earth…and what if people were already kind of over it? We imagined a teenager texting his girlfriend with his back to a T-Rex behind protective glass. For us, that image captured the way much of the audience feels about the movies themselves. “We’ve seen CG dinosaurs. What else you got?” Next year, you’ll see our answer.
