Melissa Benoist was spotted on the set of ‘Supergirl’ in Los Angeles. From looking at all the photos, it looks like the glasses are part of Kara’s wardrobe, similar disguise like her cousin Clark Kent.

Based on the characters from DC Comics, the project, from Warner Bros. TV, studio-based Berlanti Prods. and writers/executive producers Greg Berlanti (The Flash, Arrow) and Ali Adler (Glee, The New Normal), centers on Kara Zor-El (Benoist). Since arriving on Earth, the Krypton-born Kara has been hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin, Superman. But now at age 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be.

‘Supergirl’ is expected to premiere later this fall.

Not really convinced…In the comics(pre-crisis era) she weared a brown wig as Linda and her natural blond hair as Supergirl.In these pictures,part of her hair seems blond and part brown.Weird…

Yeah, a lot of comic book fans are not fond of the whole look. I’ll wait till the pilot to judge. 😛
