According to Deadline, actor James Frain (The Tudors, The White Queen, True Blood) has joined the cast of ‘Gotham’ as a series regular. He will play billionaire industrialist Theo Galavan, the brother of Tabitha Galavan, aka Tigress.
Character description:
“Galavan is the savior the city has been waiting for – he is sexy, heroic, and lovingly devoted to his sister Tabitha. But behind Galavan’s altruism is a centuries-old vendetta. Galavan and Tabitha (aka Tigress) will take chaos and violence to a new level in order to bleed Gotham. Their plan will lead to the creation of new villains… and the destruction of others.”
This isn’t Frain’s first comic book role having been in Marvel’s ‘Agent Carter’ earlier this year.
TV Line reports that Jessica Lucas (Evil Dead, Gracepoint) has landed the role of DC villain Tabitha Galavan, a.k.a. Tigress.
According to TV Line, Gotham’s version of Tigress is described as:
“Tabitha is the lead enforcer for her brother Theo, a billionaire industrialist hell-bent on taking over Gotham. Described as sexy and violent — and toting a bullwhip! — she’s the opposite of her cold and calculating brother, deriving a sensual pleasure from the mayhem she’s tasked with making.”
‘Gotham’ returns for its second season on September 21 at 8:00 p.m. on FOX.
