Shooting is already underway and Paul Feig’s upcoming ‘Ghostbusters’ has added fresh new faces to their cast. Deadline and The Wrap reports that Andy Garcia, Michael K. Williams, Matt Walsh, Neil Casey and Cecily Strong have been added to the roster.
According to The Wrap, Andy Garcia (Ocean’s Eleven, The Godfather Part III) will play the Mayor of New York City. Michael K. Williams (Boardwalk Empire) will be playing a character named Hawkins. Matt Walsh (Veep) will be playing a character named Rourke. It’s unknown what role Cecily Strong will be playing. New York City’s NY1 news anchor Pat Kiernan will be playing a news anchor.
Deadline reports that comedian Neil Casey (Other Space, SNL) has landed the role as the villain, Rowan. No further details have been released about his character.

Wiig and McCarthy play a pair of unheralded authors who write a book positing that ghosts are real. Flash forward a few years and Wiig lands a prestigious teaching position at Columbia U. Which is pretty sweet, until her book resurfaces and she is laughed out of academia.
Wiig reunites with McCarthy and the other two proton pack-packing phantom wranglers, and she gets some sweet revenge when ghosts invade Manhattan and she and her team have to save the world.
The cast includes: Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, and Chris Hemsworth.
‘Ghostbusters’ hits theaters on July 22, 2016.
