As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, actor Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises, The Drop, Mad Max: Fury Road) is on board to produce and potentially star in ‘100 Bullets,’ a film adaptation of Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso Vertigo comic series. New Line Cinema, a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Entertainment, will develop the film.
Plot details are currently being kept under wraps. In 100 Bullets, which ran for 100 issues from 1999 to 2009, tells the story of a mysterious man named Agent Graves, who gives random people a shot at revenge by providing them with the details of someone who ruined their lives, along with a bunch of untraceable ammunition.
Script penned by Chris Borrelli. Geoff Johns and Adam Schlagman are overseeing for DC while Richard Brener, Walter Hamada and Dave Neustadter run point for New Line.
New Line is also working on a film adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s Sandman, with Joseph Gordon Levitt (The Dark Knight Rises) tapped to star and direct.
