‘The Flash’ Casts Demore Barnes and Violett Beane For Season 2

Comicbook.com reports that actor Demore Barnes (The Unit) has been cast as Henry Hewitt, aka Firestorm villain Tokamak in the second season of ‘The Flash.’

Official character description:

“A charming, but cocky scientist who was affected by the same Particle Accelerator explosion that created the Flash. When Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) recruits him to join the team at S.T.A.R. Labs, Hewitt jumps at the opportunity to fulfill his destiny as a powerful meta-human.”

According to The Wrap, newcomer Violett Beane has been tapped to play Jesse Quick. Beane is set to appear in multiple episodes.

Her character is describes as “a brilliant, quirky college student who gets caught up in Barry Allen’s (Grant Gustin) battle with Season 2’s big bad, Zoom, who has yet to be cast.”

In the comics, Jesse Quick as “the alter-ego of Jesse Chambers, a heroine with super-speed powers. Chambers is the daughter of Golden Age heroes Johnny Quick and Liberty Belle; she would later go on to adopt her mother’s name. Her speed powers are accessed by speaking a special formula, although she also has her mother’s abilities.” – [via DC Wiki]

‘The Flash’ Season 2 will premiere on October 6th at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
