According to Variety, Scott Shepherd (Bridge of Spies) has joined the cast of the next installment of the ‘Bourne’ franchise. Shepherd will reportedly play the deputy director of the CIA. Plot details are still under wraps.

Stars: Matt Damon, Vincent Cassel, Alicia Vikander, Tommy Lee Jones and Ato Essandoh. Julia Stiles is also set to reprise her role as Nicky Parsons. 

Paul Greengrass is back to direct and writing the screenplay with Christopher Rouse. Frank Marshall will return as producer for the film with Damon, Greengrass, Jeffrey Weiner and Greg Goodman also producing. Christopher Rouse and Henry Morrison will serve as executive producers.

‘Bourne 5′ is set for release on July 29th, 2016.
