Actress Carly Pope and actor Tyler Ritter are the latest edition to the cast of ‘Arrow’ Season 5.

According to TV Insider, actress Carly Pope (The Popular, The Tomorrow People) to play the recurring role of Susan Williams. Her character is described as “a journalist from nearby Coast City who comes to Star City “looking to make a name for herself” by targeting Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) for a big story.”

Williams, who is the sister-in-law of Green Lantern Hal Jordan in the comic books, will make her debut in the third episode.

According to THR, actor Tyler Ritter has been cast in a recurring role as Detective Malone, “a new addition to the Star City Police Department following Captain Lance’s (Paul Blackthorne) departure from the squad last season.”

Ritter is known for his roles in The McCarthys, NCIS and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

‘Arrow’ Season 5 will premiere Wednesday, October 5th at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
