Marvel has released, via Entertainment Weekly, a new concept art of Benedict Cumberbatch as the Sorcerer Supreme. The image created by Ryan Meinerding, will be distributed to fans attending San Diego’s upcoming Comic-Con.
Benedict Cumberbatch addressed the similarities between Sherlock Holmes and Stephen Strange; “These two men are intelligent. Stephen Strange is a lover, he’s a materialist, he’s arrogant, but he’s got a great sense of humor. There are smatterings of the same colours that Sherlock has, but he’s not on the spectrum”.
‘Doctor Strange’ tells the story of Stephen Strange (Cumberbatch), an acclaimed neurosurgeon who uncovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions after a near-fatal car accident. The film will show audiences corners of the Marvel Cinematic Universe never before explored.
