Here’s a roundup of the latest news from San Diego Comic-Con.

‘Ant-Man and The Wasp’:

Ant-Man and The Wasp

Marvel  Studios have announced that actors Michelle Pfeiffer and Laurence Fishburne have joined the cast of ‘Ant-Man and The Wasp.’

Michelle Pfeiffer to play Janet Van Dyne, the original Wasp and the wife of Michael Douglas’s Hank Pym/original Ant-Man.

Laurence Fishburne_Bill Foster

Laurence Fishburne will play Dr. Bill Foster, a.k.a. Goliath, “a biochemist who works with Hank Pym (played by Michael Douglas in the Ant-Man film) and has the ability to grow in size.”

Other casting news (via EW):

Walton Goggins to play Sonny Burch, “a character who in the Marvel comics is the chairman of Cross Technologies, which was the home of original Ant-Man villain Darren Cross (played in that film by Corey Stoll). Burch is also the past associate of Iron Man villain Obadiah Stane (played in that film by Jeff Bridges).”

Randall Park to play Jimmy Woo, “who first debuted in the Yellow Claw comic series and later joined the Marvel universe and S.H.I.E.L.D., working for Nick Fury (played in the Marvel films by Samuel L. Jackson).”

Hannah John-Kamen to play Ghost, “who debuted in the Marvel Comics as an Iron Man foe — but was sometimes depicted as more of an anti-hero than a villain (and is male in the Marvel books).”

‘Ant-Man and The Wasp’ will open in theaters on July 6, 2018.

‘Captain Marvel’:

Marvel Studios confirmed that ‘Captain Marvel’ will be set in the 1990s. Samuel L. Jackson will reprise his role as Nick Fury, and he’ll have both of his eyes. The film will also introduce the Skrulls, the main villains.

‘Captain Marvel’ is set to release on March 8th, 2019.

Avengers: Infinity War’:

Here’s a new poster that was releasing at SDCC, featuring Thanos and The Black Order.

‘Thor: Ragnarok’:

During today’s panel at SDCC, actor Jeff Goldblum confirmed that his character the Grandmaster is related to The Collector.

“We’re elders of the universe,” Goldblum explained of his character. “We came about shortly after the Big Bang. We’re the oldest living creatures in the universe. Grandmaster and my brother, Collector. I rule on this planet Sakaar and I put together games. I put together the great, great match between Hulk and the new Thor. “
