‘Godzilla’ director Gareth Edwards will return to direct ‘Godzilla 2’ after he’s done working on his ‘Star Wars’ stand-alone. Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures has the sequel scheduled for June 8th, 2018.
Legendary Pictures also announced a King Kong prequel ‘Skull Island‘ for 2016 and ‘Pacific Rim 2’ for 2017.

That’s great news! Godzilla (the movie) wasn’t quite what I wanted, but Godzilla (the Kaiju) was great, and I was hoping we’d see it again in a sequel
