Yesterday, reports of Tom Hardy dropping out of David Ayer’s ‘Suicide Squad’ was due to scheduling conflict. According to Latino Review, the actors were never shown a script before signing, but once Hardy received the script, “He simply didn’t like the script he was finally given, he didn’t like the drastic change to the character.”
Latino Review also reports that the latest draft gives Deadshot (Will Smith) and Joker (Jared Leto) more screen time, at the expense of the lesser known villains like Rick Flagg, who Tom Hardy originally signed on to play.
Written and Directed by David Ayer. Produced by Charles Roven and Richard Suckle. Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, Colin Wilson and Geoff Johns are serving as executive producers.
Stars: Jared Leto as The Joker, Will Smith as Deadshot, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress. Viola Davis is still in negotiations to play Amanda Waller, while Jesse Eisenberg is still in talks to reprise his role as Lex Luthor.
