On Live With Kelly & Michael today, Jada Pinkett Smith, who plays Fish Mooney, announced that she won’t be returning for the second season of ‘Gotham.’
“I don’t think so, no,” Smith told them. “I signed for a year and the year’s up.” She went on to say, “But there are some great things coming ahead on Gotham, believe you me. There’s a lot of good stuff coming.”
Smith also spoke to Extra about her departure.
“You never know what Fish might have up her sleeve.” she said.
The show’s producers have neither confirmed nor denied the Smith’s departure. “Fish Mooney’s storyline takes a lot of interesting twists and turns into the finale of season one of Gotham,” they said in a statement.
