Whelp, this sucks. THR reports that Michelle MacLaren (Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead) will no longer direct Warner Bros. upcoming ‘Wonder Woman’ movie due to “creative differences.”
“Given creative differences, Warner Bros. and Michelle MacLaren have decided not to move forward with plans to develop and direct Wonder Woman together.” – the studio said in a statement.
According to The Wrap, MacLaren is rumored as a frontrunner to direct Marvel’s ‘Captain Marvel.’
‘Wonder Woman’ is slated to open June 23, 2017, and stars Gal Gadot as the titular heroine. No word on whether MacLaren’s departure will affect the movie’s scheduled release.

Interesting. I never like to hear this. I’m already a little nervous about a Wonder Woman film. The character needs to be confidently established in the first instance, with a great film that gets everyone onboard. Getting the balance right will be especially tough. This does not bode well for what’s going on behind the scenes.
