The CW has tapped ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ actress Maisie Richardson-Sellers to play the new Vixen in Season 2 of ‘DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow’.
Richardson-Sellers will play Amaya Jiwe, the grandmother of the present-day Vixen, Mari McCabe (played by Megalyn Echikunwoke) on ‘Arrow’ and her own animated shorts on The CW Seed. Echikunwoke was unable to join Season 2 due to scheduling issues.
Character description for the new Vixen:
“Amaya Jiwe – better known as Vixen – is the newest superhero to board the Waverider and join the ranks of the ‘Legends of Tomorrow.’ Like her granddaughter, Mari McCabe, Amaya’s powers are derived from the mysterious Tantu Totem, which allows her to magically access the abilities of animals.”
‘DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow’ returns Thursday, October 13th at 8 p.m. on The CW.
