Beauty and the Beast’s co-producer Jack Morrissey took to Facebook to share images from Disney’s upcoming live-action movie. Here’s an early concept art design of Lumière (voiced by Ewan McGregor) and Cogsworth (voiced by Ian McKellen). Morrissey says that,“These designs are close but may not be final.”  

The other two images come from the “Sneak Peek” at Bill’s live-action Beauty and the Beast – coming next month the 25th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray/DVD/Digital of Disney’s 1991 animated classic.

They images feature our first look at Stanley (played by Alexis Loizon), LeFou (played by Josh Gad), Gaston (played by Luke Evans), and Beast (played by Dan Stevens).

Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” is a live-action re-telling of the studio’s animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs. “Beauty and the Beast” is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within.

Eight-time Oscar-winner Alan Menken, who won two Academy Awards for the 1991 animated classic, will score the film, which will include new recordings of the original songs written by Menken and Howard Ashman, as well as several new songs written by Menken and three-time Oscar winner Tim Rice.

Directed by Bill Condon. Produced by David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman of Mandeville Films. Script written by Evan Spiliotopoulos and rewritten by Steve Chbosky.
