Dark Hall Mansion, under license from Paramount Pictures, is pleased to introduce Mads Berg’s hyper modernist and refined take on a film that almost singularly defined the ’70s along with an entire genre of music that to this day still resonates and helped birth countless sub-genres, most notably hip hop. Danish artist, Mads Berg’s extremely stylized and elegant piece is informed by an approach which translates classic poster art into a modern and timeless look. Working with of profile brands such as Orangina, Monocle, Coca Cola, Wired and more, Mads is a design lecturer, jury member, winner of the 2009 Danish Design Prize, and his poster art represented at the Danish National Design Archives. It’s hard to convey via conventional monitor images just how very cool and striking Mads’s body of work truly is with its emphasized figurative abstraction and highly polished aesthetic.
