As I sit here and type this, I am wearing a black top with little pink dinosaurs on it. Ever since I was a little, I have adored them and the movie quote title of this post is a phrase I have said thousands of times since I first heard it, almost 30 years ago in the movie Jurassic Park.

That’s right, this summer, fans everywhere will be celebrating the 30th Anniversary of one WeGeekGirls’ favorite childhood movies. GiGi and I both turned 40 this year and have been really taking stock of just how amazing it is that some of the things we grew up with are not only also celebrating milestone anniversaries but have thriving fandoms!!! Truly EPIC!

Debuting in early Summer of 1993, Jurassic Park went on to have a trilogy, ending in 2001 and the mantle was picked up by Jurassic World 2015 who’s third movie reunited us with several of those first beloved characters.

I don’t know about you all but Dr. Ellie Sattler was the first “I want to be like” that I can recall having and my dinosaur collection was pretty intense, the Brachiosaurus being top of the list 🙂 🙂 🙂

We are bringing all of this up because we received word from Paragon FX Group that they are joining the 30th Anniversary fun and giving us all THE REPLICA that has been most asked for/sought after by collectors, the Cryo-Can!!!

Working closely with Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment, Paragon FX Group’s team
was given access to the original hero-prop used in the film’s production. This close-up study of
the original has given us the opportunity to replicate everything from the proper labels on the
centrifuge tubes, right down to the very inventory tags that are present on the original prop as it
sits in the studio archives. Identical to the original, Paragon will be manufacturing this piece in
metal. This multi-piece CNC machined replica will also feature a ‘pop-up’ centrifuge rack and of
course, the entire unit can be seated within a Barbasol can.
Each machined replica will ship with 10 microcentrifuge tubes w/ labels, Barbasol canister, and
studio inventory tags.
