As I mentioned yesterday, it would be impossible to share EVERYTHING one has to look forward to when attending the EPICNESS that is Dragon Con , so this countdown is a simple attempt to get your EXCITEMENT and ANTICIPATION at maximum levels, not to show a favoritism of any kind. So, if in the next 30days I’ve left something/someone out (which will happen) (this will be the ONLY disclaimer) it is not intentional. Each post will have a link to the convention’s website that will be available to you to explore at any point in time 🙂

Author Spotlight

I was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland, which explains my inherent cheekiness and my sophisticated sarcasm gene. In the late seventies, my family immigrated to America where I’ve made a career out of my passions: reading, writing, and teaching.

I’m a professor of English and the Director of Creative Studies in Writing at Alverno College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where, among other things, I conduct a seminar on the art of the mystery. I’ve been teaching at Alverno for over twenty five years (I began teaching when I was em… 14).

My crime fiction column runs every third Sunday in The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. My reviews also run regularly in The Minneapolis Star Tribune.. Oh, and I’m a regular contributor on books to WTMJ4’s The Morning Blend (Milwaukee’s NBC affiliate).

My essay “Time is Relative” is part of the HUGO winning anthology “Chicks Dig Time Lords.”

Amazing Artist

Arthur Adams

Arthur Adams is an award-winning artist who became an immediate fan favorite as the penciler on the critically acclaimed 1985 Longshot mini-series. His decades-spanning career has included cover and interior work on such titles as Batman, Superman, Avengers, Spider-man, X-Men, New Mutants, Gen 13, Godzilla, The Authority, Danger Girl, Excalibur, Ultimate X, and Hulk. He’s the creator, writer, and artist on Monkeyman and O’Brien.

Outside of comics, Arthur has done movie, toy, and game designs, book illustrations, and provided the artwork for an X-Men themed Spaghetti-O’s can.

More recently, in addition to the covers to many of Marvels top books, Adams illustrated the cover and interiors for Guardians of the Galaxy Team Up #1 for Marvel.
